📐 Sizing

Know Your Pool. Know Your Float.

A float should command the pool, not overwhelm it. Our general rule: total float length should not exceed 40% of pool length. The Big Texan is 6 feet long. Do the math before you commit. Or don't — we've seen the photos. No regrets reported.

The hat brim is structural. Sits level in still water. We tested this a lot.

💨 Inflation

From Flat to Floating in 3 Minutes

All floats use standard Boston valves. Any pump with a nozzle adapter will work. An electric pump is included with every 2-float order. Manual pump adapter shipped with every order because we're not savages.

  • 💨   Step 1: Remove from storage bag. Unfold completely on grass first, not concrete.
  • 🔌   Step 2: Attach pump to main inflation valve. Inflate to firm but not rock-hard.
  • 👂   Step 3: The sound test — it should thump, not ring. Ringing = overinflated.
  • ☀️   Note: Floats expand in heat. Inflate slightly softer on hot days. They firm up.
  • 🌙   Storage: Partially deflate before long-term storage. Fully dry before folding.
  • 🛠   Repairs: Use included vinyl patch kit. Patch holds better than the original seam.

⚠ Never inflate a float inside the house. Randy has seen what happens. Randy is still recovering.

Posted at every quality backyard operation. Laminate it. Frame it. Put it next to the pool gate.

  1. The Big Texan has right-of-way. In all pool traffic situations, the largest float is sovereign. This is non-negotiable.
  2. Sunscreen before inflatables. White vinyl and spray sunscreen do not make friends. Apply. Wait. Swim.
  3. Sharp objects stay on the deck. Belt buckles included. Cowboys, this means you.
  4. The drink holder is for the guest on the float. Not the float itself. The Desperado cannot drink. We have tried to explain this.
  5. Floats are not rafts. Except the Ranch Hand, which is technically a raft. And the Big Texan, which is effectively a raft. And the Stampede in calm water. Fine. Most floats are not rafts.
  6. No dunking from the Stampede. It gets airborne. We've seen the videos. We're proud of them but we can't say that officially.
